Science question about newton's laws?

Currently, I am making the Brochure project for my science cl. It's all about the Newton's second law of motion. I don't get it. How does they related to rocket. Could you guys give me some example about them. This project is due tommorrow. I need to finish them up by today. Thanks!!!1
