I know this may sound stupid, but, boy advice?

Alright, so I just got into high school, and already I have fallen for this guy. Unfortunately, I'm not in his homeroom, but my friend is. And what would you know, she likes him too. He flirts with both of us, but since she is getting to know him faster because she's in his home room. Is there any thing I can do to get his attention more? Or should I just drop it and let her win? Oh, and I have no cles with him but gym and lunch, so I barely see him, but I do talk to him online which the other girl doesn't. So as I said before, any ideas on what to do?
