What is the differnce between a thermal insulator and a thermal conductor?

thermal relates to heat energy. So a thermal insulator allows only minimal conduction. A thermal conductor allows conduction to occur easily. A thermal insulator is air (does not conduct heat well). A thermal conductor is aluminum (good for heat sinks on computers)
