How do i send someone info?

i asked a question a few minutes ago and someone told me to send them my xbox gamertag. But i clicked on their name in yahoo answers and it said they do not accept IMs or emails.. so how do i send them my gamertag name? They sais send it to their inbox. but i dont know how.
